How do you know if a graphics card is going to be compatible with your computer?
Ok so I’m looking into buying a new graphics card for my computer, mainly because I need a new one that is going to be compatible with Sims 2 (My current graphics card isn’t supported.) and I need to know the following:
A. Need to know how to find out if a graphics card is going to be compatible with my computer.
B. What graphics card (I’ve been looking at a GeForce FX5200 on my local pc stores website for the past couple of days and it is a supported one) that is a supported card, would be good for playing sims 2.
Ok so I only need to know that one thing…
If its going to help, I have a PowerSpec 8921(I got it as a gift from my dad so I didn’t buy it.)
I know enough about my computer, but something like a graphics card is a little new to me, but I’m learning.

I found out that you have a 4x AGP slot open. So you need to go to the store and ask for a version of the GeForce FX5200 card that is AGP 4x compatible. Most cards are AGP 8x nowadays, but they are likely to be backwards compatible with 4x too.
