I have a graphics card with DVI out would it work if i plug a dvi-d to vga converter then to my monitor?
if it is meant to work is it a problem with the converter i bought then?
My graphics card works fine for my first socket in that i have a dvi-i to vga converter but i want dual monitors and bought a dvi-d to vga converter and it doesnt work, the only fault i can see is in the converter.
Try this:
Use the converter that you know works and try it on the second DVI slot. If it works, then that new converter you bought is faulty.
If that known-to-work converter doesn’t work with your second DVI slot, then that DVI slot isn’t an integrated slot (DVI-I outputs both DVI-digital and VGA-analog) and cannot output a VGA signal.
