kde and gnome problems?
well so I'm getting a new computer and am trying different Linux distributions, and different from SD for the distros. so far for every distro ive tried, I made mistakes GNOME and KDE. im using vmware Mac (Specifications:. 4 GB of RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 with a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M) I get an error from gnome, and says there was an error running GNOME 3, then you must run a version of gnome very strange, the thing in the side of the taskbar. KDE when I do, I get lots of error messages, then it runs really slowly. specifications of my new team will be 8 GB RAM, 2.8 GHz quad-core AMD pheanom, and Raedon HD 4670 graphics cards. These specifications can run kde or better than my current gnome3 Mac can in vm? thanks! ps i plan to use Arch Linux as my primary OS
The "strange version" is the withdrawal of GNOME so that when GNOME goes into system specifications can not stand GNOME Shell or drivers are missing. Since it is Arch Linux, make sure you have all the drivers, since their specifications capable sound (what is the VRAM on the nVidia?) Moreover, have you considered Xfce?
