GFX Writer V20 How to make your first website header in 4 mins
I am going to show you a way to quickly and easily create headers and graphics images for your website or blog.
You don’t need to have artistic skills or complicated computer knowledge.
You will need to spend some time on a very minimal learning curve.
To put that in perspective; you will be able to easily produce your first website header in around 4 minutes. Maybe that sounds like an outrageous claim, but with the right graphics tool, it really is very simple to do.
I’m not talking about high end, expensive and hard to learn products such as Photoshop or Corel Draw.
They are great if you have the skills to master them. But most of us either don’t need that level of sophistication, or don’t want to spend a lot of money to create our graphics.
You could outsource your graphics creation for headers or ebook covers, but at what cost, plus the wait time. I’ve gone down that road before and the results have not always been to the standards that I wanted.
The software that I recommend for creating your own graphics is called GFX Writer V2.0
It is what I call a ‘niche graphics tool’.

Let’s talk about website headers first.
The trick to saving time is to use blank header graphics. You can pick these up for free or at a minimal cost. Go to the link below and I’ll give you 99 blank headers to get you started.
By blank header graphics, I mean ones that have a picture or background graphic, but no text.
You will add your own text to create a unique header using GFX Writer V2.0
Here is the simple process to create a website header.
1. Using GFX Writer, open a blank header graphic
2. Optionally, insert another picture to enhance the header
3. Select any font on your computer
4. Choose the font size
5. Choose a text effect from Border effect (colour), Inner Bevel, Text Shadow and draw shapes
6. Choose font colour
7. Type in your text
8. Insert your text any where on the header
9. Save your header
You can save your created graphics in a variety of formats such as BMP, GIF, JPG and PNG.
BMP – Bitmap. Probably the first type of digital image format. Used mostly in Windows. BMP is medium-high quality but produces larger file sizes. Ideal for icons and small images.
JPG, JPEG – Grew in popularity with the invention of the digital camera. High quality images and huge compression allows for big resolutions but small file sizes. The most common image format currently available.
GIF – These were created mainly for internet use. Small picture and small file size. Good for fast loading web pages only.
PNG – Portable Networks Graphic. The very best image format.
Though not very compatible throughout Windows operating systems (especially XP), PNGs are very high quality images with large resolutions. File size is about the same as a JPEG but the biggest pro is that PNG’s can handle transparency and JPEGs cannot. PNG is mainly used in MAC operating systems but can now be used in windows Vista/Windows 7. This is definitely the best image format to use because of it’s features although the draw back is low compatibility unless you have software that can open it and use it.
