What skills are required for graphic design artists?
I have some experience with HTML and javascript, and have recently been experimenting with Blender 3D and Adobe Photoshop, and I am interested in doing some work in the graphics design fields. What skills do I need to develop or classes do I need to take to become a competative graphic design artist?
Also, which area would you recommend?
Graphic Design for Print: Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator are required the most, InDesign (Magazine/Newsletter Layout). As a graphic designer for print, it would probably help if you knew the basics about printing, so maybe get a job in a print shop first as a prepress production artist. That will definitely help you as a graphic designer. Other than that, try to learn photoshop and illustrator as much as you can. For a website designer, you should know Macromedia Dreamweaver/Fireworks and you’re already on the right track with experience in HTML & Java. Hope this helps.

How do people program games?!?
Cause isn’t it like programming languages are mainly for calculations and equations and problem solving?
How do people make those cool 2D/3D games like RS or WOW or any other computer game from like java or C++?
Is it specifically object oriented programming that allows programmers to use graphics and create images into the program and animating it?
If it is Object oriented…wars it called?-Objective C? Or Javascript?
BQ:Is there a large difference between normal C and objective C or a big difference between java and javascript?

Anything a computer does — everything from word processing, to showing a list of files, to browsing the Web — everything happens because a computer program is running. Those computer programs come from “code” written by people in a variety of languages.
Most programming languages allow you to draw images on the screen — in fact, you can do almost anything from almost any language. You can write a 3D game in Python, C++, Java or any number of other languages.
Is there much difference in computer languages? Usually, C++ and Objective-C are different just like French and Spanish are different. Anything you can say in French, you can probably say in Objective-C as well — but it might be longer or shorter, or sound a bit weird. You might have to explain yourself more, or take a shortcut. But someone who knows Spanish can probably look at some French words and take a good guess at what they mean.
You can use any language for “calculations and equations”, but when you think about it, games are just calculations and equations as well. When a World of Warcraft player attacks a monster, the program has to calculate a bunch of things, like:
* how far away the monster is
* when to start the attack
* what the chance of hitting is
* whether the attack hits
* how many hit points the monster has remaining
* if the monster is still alive
The graphics you see in World of Warcraft are drawn by artists, not computer programmers. (Of course, one person can be both!) The artist draws the graphics, and the computer programmer writes the code to show the “attacking” graphic when the player attacks, and show the right “walking” graphic in the right place. The computer programmer writes what happens when two graphics touch each other, and what happens when the player opens his Inventory.
A little bit more information:
When someone writes a computer program, he (or she) must choose which computer language he writes in. People who write for Windows will often use C# or C++. People who write for MacOS will often use Objective-C. If you write an iPhone application, you really don’t have much choice — Apple only allows you to use Objective-C.
While one person working by himself can write a whole program, it is very common for people to work together. Larger programs like Microsoft Word have had hundreds or even thousands of programmers working on it since it was first written. If you watch the credits for a video game, you’ll usually see programming “teams”.
